CHANGE ONE THING

This idealized 2D tool excludes terrain, obstacles, wind, acceleration, communication delay and aircraft performance. A path shown here is not validated as safe or legal. Field of view uses a 36 mm-wide, distortion-free camera model.

Shutter angle & exposure time

t = θ / (360 × fps)
180° is a creative starting point, not a universal requirement. Adjust for flicker, exposure and the intended motion rendering.

Horizontal field of view & coverage

FOV = 2 atan(w / 2f) · width = distance × w / f
Geometric coverage on a plane perpendicular to the optical axis. Do not mix equivalent focal length with actual sensor width. Distortion, electronic stabilization and recording crops require separate treatment.
